Footwell LED's self-wiring to courtesy lights

Hi,

I want to get some barstrip LEDs from www.superbrightleds.com and use them as footwell lamps.

I've searched around and found DIY's for putting it into the parking light turnstalk. I ACTUALLY want to make them come on and off like the courtesy lights only when the door is opened, and it would auto-delay at the same speed as the courtesy lights and then go off.

I could not find those instructions or DIY. I read the Mazda OEM footwell lamps installation manual, and it was confusing as hell, and it also had a separate timer unit and such (which I don't have). Do I need that to make the LED lamps go away just like the courtesy lamps? I've hearda bout the 54-pin connector behind the steering column, is this where I plug in? Which wire to splice into? Please help.

Okay, I don't have time tonight, but you don't need the timer and you won't use the wires the same way as the Mazda footwells are used. I'll try to detail it out to you in the morning, it's not hard. Instead of Ebay....have a look at this thread as I have these as do a lot of other people.
