Felt for Subwoofer Box

I built myself a subwoofer box last night, any suggestions on where I can get some of the felt for the boxes? Or maybe some other ideas to make it look finished?

you can buy the carpet online at places like Crutchfield.. my suggestion is to find a local car audio place and have them find the best match for the car's trunk and then either have them do it or buy some from them.

I just ran down to wally world and bought some black felt and some craft glue spray adhesive. It'll do for now, I really want to get it installed today. Plus I have to install my springs, so this is just kind of a quick fix.

I was thinking about getting an rx-8 logo, maybe like the rear bumper one and placing it in the middle of the box?

I got everything put together and looks great. A couple hours of work and $30 for a sheet of 3/4" mdf. Here is a pic of the install.

the box looks nice, but do you see why i suggested you get the carpet matched?

And if thats your amp on the left, I think heat will be a serious issue.

I think I need a new amp anyway. It is only a 90x2 and I would like it to be a little more powerful. When I get a new amp I will put it on top of the box. The setup isnt ideal, but it'll have to do for now. I would have liked to get the color matched, but for $4 I think it looks ok. If I get a new amp I will probably get better carpet.

Not sure the tread, but fiberglassing your own box in the corner looks good and saves a ton of space. Did my own box and came out well.

Try going to Best Buy. I found carpet that matched perfectly but you have to get it in the install bays outside the store. They don't sell it inside.
