Woot! Great writeup, Jorge! Amost missed this thread.

Gonna have to make it to one of the LAX meets to see this (when you decide to go, that is) LOL.

Sticky!!!

Highway8 12-27-2007 01:09 AM

I realy liked the set up and instructions, thanks.

I was thinking about doing something similar but was looking at getting dual digital guages so I can get all my guages in one place. I am considering going FI at some point so I would want, boost, a/f ratio, oil temp and pressure and water temp. I found that SPA makes dual digital guages but they are expensive and I did not find an a/f ratio guage. They have a dual oil temp and pressure guage, dual water temp and boost and they have some egt temp guages and volt guages just no a/f guages. I could go with dual oil temp and pressure guage, dual water temp and boost and then put another brand a/f guage in there but I would want a uniform look.

Does anybody know any other company that makes good dual guages? I think the 2 spa guages I listed would come to about $500. I would like to less and I wanted the af ratio guage not just an EGT guage.

Thoughts?

Thanks Shinx, that's a heck of a compliment coming from you and that gorgeous car of yours

Couldn't agree more. These gauges aren't designed to be watched the entire time so when I do take my eyes the road for a second, it's nice to be able to see the reading quickly

that set up is off the chain, jorge! haha well done!!!!

nice detailed instructions too
Thanks man!! You know what a perfectionist I am with my mods.

HAHA, thanks man! I owe a lot of it to you for the great pics and advice on where to ground everything.

highway: check out the long thread on the RB pod; quite a few people have it and have been using different gauges then I did. This thread is specifically about the Nordskog so I don't want to side track the thread too much. I'll PM you a link. Thanks!

jstkilntim 12-27-2007 11:54 AM

NICE!!!!! (As usual)

Not only is he a Jedi master, and vicious with a light saber . . .But he can work on cars too.

Such a nice job. Love the look. This look is factory stock. The fit, the color match, everything is top notch.

Good job and a great DIY.

shazbot28 12-28-2007 12:16 AM

Sweet setup Jorge! I'm jealous.. we gotta do lunch sometime soon (so I can see these in action!) =D

I hope the mods sticky this.! It's the only thread that shows how to properly ground / install electrical gauges...

tiggerlee 01-05-2008 02:41 PM

One more for stickyness....

Those gauges as well as the write-up are schweeet! Excellent job Jorge!

chetrickerman 01-05-2008 03:20 PM

Thanks Swoope!

Problem is that img tags don't work in the DIY section which is why I posted it here. Figured the bigger pictures were easier to see then clicking all the small thumbnails at the bottom.

Here's the post from Zoom about img tags + DIY section: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...83&postcount=4

Awesome job, Jedi! The force is clearly with you. :) Moving to DIY forum, for all posterity, ans stickying it for a week or so. :D

chetrickerman 01-05-2008 10:46 PM

Yea Yea!!

Jedi54 01-05-2008 10:52 PM

Thanks Omicron!

D'oh!!! Just noticed all my pics went away. Any chance of getting this sticked in the Interior / Electronics forum instead?

Thanks again guys for all the support.

Good looking setup and great DIY. I've been wanting some gauges for a while and these look great.
Thanks Jedi.

elf 01-06-2008 10:50 AM

Yeah, stickiness, finally --- well, at least for awhile :)

Too bad there isn't a way to position pics (that's been uploaded to the forum) within the text of a post. I think DIYs flow much better that way.

Elara 01-12-2008 04:20 PM

Moved it back for now...we'll get it all sorted out :)

Ross_Dawg 01-22-2008 05:19 PM

dude those gauges look so nice in there. Do they fit perfectly flush or is there some overlapping?
