Is there a digital compass display for mirror or dash for RX8s without NAV? I am looking for an aftermarket rear view mirror that has a compass and garage door openers buit in. Anyone seen one out there?

It's been discussed before, and there are several mirrors available with the functions you describe. Look around in this forum a bit, or try a search.

 

Except that none of those mirrors have a compatible mount that would allow to simply install them in the 8. Or did anyone find a mirror that can be swapped in place of the stock one?

 

I just hard wired a Whistler radar detector; it has a built in compass.
