The hazard light switch is just below the center A/C vents... not really a foot apart.
I accidently rested my palm on the switch while adjusting the vent with my thumb and index finger.

Kudos on the custom work. These are just random comments from the peanut gallery:
If that has a motorized flip out monitor then I would have imagined that you would put the lazer etched RX-8 where the air conditioning controls currently are so that when it's closed your setup would still look complete, but also, when the screen was showing you would be able to access the air conditioning controls easily. I would have also left the hazard lights there. It fits and looks pretty nice. Again, just general feedback. I don't think I could do that if i tried.

I already have the factory nav system and would like a Car PC.
I'd use it to play mp3-4 stored on the HD and include a sirus...

Good Luck!
Does anyone know where to find this on an english website, and if they have it in a singe-din?

Gotcha. I thought you retrofitted the whole oem nav system, but with an aftermarket screen and dvd unit.

frick, I'm thinking of almost doing the same thing, except I don't have an OEM navi, but I guess it's not worth trading in my car for something like that!!!! I'd wish someone would make a replacement for the headunit **cough cough**

I pulled my OEM nav display apart, so how did you replicate the PCB at the back of the OEM LCD that controls the Motor for opening/closing?
There are 2 groups of harness, one with 2 wires that goes to the motor & one with 3 wires that I suppose are the position sensors.
Both go directly to the PCB at the rear of the stock LCD.
Also, is the white connector receptacle used for powering it up?

Thanks in advance.

Yes,the engine is controled by the open and tilt buttons but throgh the lcd screen ,so my buttons now are only to make beautiful, hahahaha, i controle now the engine (already works) by a window's switch i putted down the steering wheel and i put up & down the Alpine screen with it.
Its more simply than it seems

This project is still underway. I'll get our Sales Manager to shine some light on the progress so far.

We are still going to get these pieces done. We had some unforeseen events take place and have slowed us down. I will update everyone when we have a prototype. After that, it should be smooth sailing. Sorry for the delay and thank you for everyone's patience.

I already have the factory nav, which I do use; I love that indash mount! Although I got an XM radio and had planned to mount it in the ashtray area - will have to do something else to fit it all in there I guess.
