Custom leather for your 8
Hi all, not sure if this is a repost. Found a dealer on ebay dealing in Classic Soft Leather seat skins for 790ish dollars.
I am not affiliated in this, only interested in the purchase of black/blue leather seats. Thought I would post the link so you can all see if you are interested in aftermarket leather as well, and to see if anyone has experience with Classic Soft Leather.

I have emailed them and will be recieveng the swatches to see if the blue matches closely to the winning blue of my 8.

By the way, how much did your leather cost you?

It was installed by a local Classic Soft Trim shop. Here is the old thread about it, with pictures and a lot of info.
To remove the cloth seats, you just have to undo the hooks the cloth is held on with. I think the leather is attached the same way (although to be honest, I never checked that and I don't have the car here right now to see). So I think installing the seat upholstery should be quite easy. Then there are the side panels - you need to glue those pieces on and have no idea how easy/complicated is to do that cleanly.
Oh, and i heard in the meantime, that the same shop refused to sell to a walk-in customer - so I guess I was just lucky that they did mine. It did help that I was referred to that shop by my Mazda salesperson and knew names to speak to.

Your seats look GREAT. I want the same in black/blue to be a bit unique in the 8 department. Im seriously debating this. Thanks for the info.

CST is good--I went with Katzkin though. If you are in the Houston area the CST shop is in NW Houston close to 290. I went via Katzkin leather by Texas Auto Trim by way of Jeff Haas Mazda.

It took them like 2 days to do--I paid about $1300 including tax.
