I had black/tan leather installed in my Nordic Green last week from Jeff Haas Mazda/Texas Auto Trim-which uses Katzkin leather--the smell and suppleness is awesome. Next up is the 1/2" lloyd heavyweight floor mats.

That's next Tuesday--unfortunately I won't be able to make it as I work in the day and take science classes at night--these 14 hour days are taking there toll

 

how much was the aftermarket leather? does it heat up pretty fast in the sun?

 

it was $1400 including tax w/ 5 year warranty--I have tint so it doesn't heat up as fast; the seats are slightly more comfortable than with the cloth.

Seat heaters are usually possible with these kind of aftermarket upholsteries.

 

lol--it was Katzkin, you could add seat heaters--but I'm in Texas so the sun usually does it for free. Installation only took about 6 hours--but I dropped it off one day and picked it up the next--they gave me a Mazda 6i loaner.

 

Hey man, looks great!! How about the steering wheel? That would be nice if they could do the steering wheel too.

I'm probably going to leave the steering wheel alone--I think that may get pricey, you can get the black/chapperral wheels from Mazda-but the tan in my car is a little lighter than the Mazda OEM color.
