I agree that loseing the Hvac controls is not an option so if they dont have it worked out In 2-3 weeks i am just going to get the Rockford 3sixty.2
Also The speed line kit is not a option for me i dont like the way it looks to high for me.

It's -2.4 where I am now, so being able to control the heat isn't totally useless. :^)

That's exactly what I mean. You are forced to keep that thing in there to retain the climate control. As far as the radio goes it's a huge waste of space. Thanks Mazda.

Thats my issue with it too, I have a flip up DVD player I am trying to get rid of from a previous car because the speedline puts the screen way to high and it looks out of place to me.

Of course, I wasn't saying I watched movies while driving....I just happened to have a in-dash dvd player I think I have seen some pics of yours, or it was someone elses...not quite sure, but is there any chance you have a pic from between the seats looking at the screen and whole dash? maybe including the rear view mirror so I can tell how high it goes? If you do and could pm or e-mail me that would be awesome.

np....i wasnt implying that you watch while driving.........i wanted to stick with the bose especially since it has sirius (comes with the shinka)...Im only using the Jensen for DVD purposes (there is a Nav unit coming out soon for it)

I dont think i have a pic of exactly what you want but i can take one when the temps are a little warmer....its like zero with the wind chill right now!!!

be patient!!

Oh, right. I'm sure everyone agrees that Mazda deserves all the blame for such a lousy design. If the 8 wasn't such a unique car, I would not have bought Mazda! And to make it worse, it's obvious that they only do this to sell their own worthless sound solutions.

I'd give up with the corksport, speedline with the navi looks like the best option.

they got it working on the cars with automatic climate controls. the North American cars have a standard climate control. they cant get it to work with the standard system on the US cars.

Hey guys, I know this isn't the selling forum but it seemed to fit here. I bought the speedline kit for my 8 and put an avic n2 in it. It turned out awesome with no side effects . My car got broken into about a month ago and they got the nav unit but left the kit . I am selling the car now and just had the insurance company put it back to factory ($8000 worth of damage!!). If anyone is interest in buying the kit let me know. I am looking to get $150 for it if possible. The only damage that was done to it during the breakin was the front to pins were bent off. Just about any installer should be able to fix that since there are 6 other pins behind those. Thanks guys.
