I cant belive that its THAT expensive for a kit. someone needs to make one at a more resonable price. its a product that I've been waiting for..but i cant justify spending $500 bucks on a kit, PLUS another two to three hunder dollars on an actual aftermarket system. I really hope something alot more affordable comes out. =(

 

Unless you can find a place that will do the same thing as the kit and won't charge an arm and a leg for the custom work and labor let me know. Otherwise, hoping that someone will come out with something cheaper just won't cut it. If it's that easy, it would been done and marketed by now.

 

Are there any electrical/stero nuts that can help us all out? Probably not....freaken Mazda and their FORCED radio unit, dang it...the worst part of the RX8 is it's lack of aftermarket support.

Mazda...I love you, but this is the single worst thing they did to the RX8's interior.

 

As soon as their price hits $300, I'll click order. This probably isn't patented. Someone entrepreneurial should buy one, copy and produce for a decent price.

 

Does the kit come with this "AC Control box"...or is it an existing part behind/wherever the head unit?

The Japanese site says that TBX-X001 is needed for bose (so all speakers work) is that available through the group buy or will it have to be purchased separately?

I have just ordered the Corksport kit, it hasn't arrived yet, but I'll let you all know how it goes. Installation probably won't take place until i get the rest of my electronics ordered so it maybe a few more months.

 

Crazy, crazy price. I would start to consider it at half the price.

Meh... I had to wire the stock stereo under the passenger side dash... I wonder how they bypassed the stock stereo... anyone know? Or does it just let you relocate the stock stereo with the harness as I did?

Well corksport's site didn't mention that they would have to special order the kit from overseas so I'm still waiting for the darn thing. The indash vga monitor for the first din is already here. But I still need to order the carPC for the second din. I imagine that the PC and dash kit will come at around the sametime since corksport said mid to late june.

The dash kits should be arriving on or about the 23rd. -Was copy and pasted off of the email they sent me. So I'll probably get it a week after.

Mean while it took the CarPC people a day to make the pc and a day to ship it. It's sitting in my room now. (Still have to get a hard drive and dvd-rom for it though).

I emailed the Corkdorks. It maybe a few days before I hear back from them.

On a side note, I feel like my little bro. He ordered a carbon fiber hood for his accord back in early May after a very bad hail storm and STILL hasn't gotten it!

 

I emailed them again last night and let them know how pissed off i was from the lack of communication. That finially got a response out of them. They said that they were expecting the kits today due to some issues at customs, but from all the dates they've given me who knows. -_-

In my last email to Dorksport I specified that I wanted to know when they recieved the kit and when they begun shippment to me. If they actually will is another thing.

 

Im guessing they didnt get back to you on the kit.

 

I ended up having an issued with my credit card... -_- Thinking that Corksport charged my card months ago for the items that I purchased, I went a head and bought my carPC. Well I get a call a few days ago saying that my card was refused because I was over my limit. (btw-I have really low credit) So I had to wait for the bank to process my payment before they could send me the Dash Kit. As I type, the kit is on its way and coming soon. There won't be much time to tinker around with it as I want to get everything installed before going to a car show in Chicago at the end of the month.
