i know there are a million threads that discuss clears, but that just made my search more convoluted!

is there a vendor that just sells the clears w/o bulbs? rx8strakes has them with the bulb and wiring harness, but i have the stock wiring harness and i want to put white led's in, so i don't need all that. i guess they don't add too much cost, but if i can save a few bucks, why not...

 

You really won't save anything buying them without the bulbs... but I got mine in ebay without them.

 

probably right. i guess i'm just surprised that most vendors seem to sell them as a package and not individually...

 

They are sold from the supplier as a pair of lenses with bulbs and sockets.

If you get anything less you're being ripped off, because your vendor is keeping your parts. You may not need those parts, but they're yours. If you e-bay, well they were probably on someone elses car.

The "supplier" is Mazda of Japan. I ordered 2 sets, both were brand new, in original Mazda packaging. They do not come with harness or bulb. Check with your local dealer here to see if they sell you bulbs and the harness with orange corners. My guess is they won't, as dealerships love to charge for every little part.

 

interesting. good idea to check w/ my dealer on the us oem corners...

rx8strakes...can you chime in? do you order/receive your clears w/ harness and bulb or do you add that in to make it a full product? if i was going to order your white led's to the clears too, can you just drop the oem yellow ones out of the shipment? oh, while i'm asking, do your white led's match the oem hid's well? i don't want any blue tinge, since i've upgraded my fogs and parking lights to white light too...

 

My clear corners came in OEM packaging with bulbs and sockets, straight from japan. the bulbs are even amber.

 

The clear side-markers and amber side-markers we carry are purchased direct from Mazda (clear from Japan, amber from U.S.) and include the wiring harnesses and bulbs sealed in the original packaging. We're not aware of how the side-markers can be purchased without them, as we only show the one set of part numbers for each type.
