The part of the center console that slides over the cup holders in 05 has come off. I put it back on but it doesnt stay on now. Any ideas, I am taking it to the dealership tomorrow but if I can get it to stay on I wont need to go.

 

Warranty time?

 

Mine broke long *** time ago, I wonder if I can warranty that too.

 

Yea im hoping that it will be covered, I have a extened warranty if the factory one is out, im not the original owner but my last repare was under the factory. IDK

 

the latch on mine broke aswell but it still functions the same..............

 

Mine broke in two places. Still functional, so I haven't worried about it too much. Funny EVERY SINGLE person has a broken one though....

 

Mine was broke before I even bought it
Had them replace it before I took delivery.

 

try to get it warrantied. Worst case scenario, get one from Paul @ Mazmart

 

I hear you on these breaking. I just replaced my "button" last night. Can't bit@h though, it was only $13.

we got ours replaced as well as the sun visor they broke at the same time,warranty time

 

I was able to get it replaced under warrinty. It works so much better than before also. It doesnt slam shut when I hit the brakes!

 

Seriously, those things are garbage. I think out of all the RX-8 owners I've met, MAYBE two have had latches that still work. The most enraging thing is how the button screws up and tilts to the side. Ugh...
