Cd player sound jerking

Hi, I am new into this forum. I would like to find out why every time i drive across uneven road even it is just a slight bump and the sound from the Cd player is jerking badly. My friend is also driving a RX 8 and he tells me that it doesnt happen to him.

Rgds

Maybe its cause of the way your cd is burnt. If you burn a cd at a speed faster than the cd was designed to be written at the playback can skip.

/edit Assuming you've burnt this cd yourself, of course...

I had this problem last year and it turned out that the CD player had gone bad. EVERy little bump in the road would make the CD skip, even original discs (not burned). Mazda replaced the factory player with a new one. If a slower burn speed doesn't fix it, have the dealer look at it.

I wish I'd known this from the beginning. Mine has skipped badly from day one. I'd always thought it was the stiff suspension set up.

Have people actually gotten Mazda to pay for this?
