Question cd player problem?

So my cd player has been acting strange lately and i'm wondering if anyone knows a fix besides replacing it. It only reads my CD's until the 4th or 5th song then it can't pick the song and/or sounds fuzzy. I put one of the cd's in my lap top and it plays perfectly. It also has been making weird noises, I'm wondering if the scanners track got messed up somehow? Thanks.

I'm assuming your car is no longer under the basic warranty; how old is it?

I have the same problem with burned CDs. I've heard that our stock CD players does not support burned CDs, MP3s and other files like that, unless it's straight store bought.

With playback issues, try burning the disc at a slower speed or try a different blank CD manufacture.
See if the CD plays in another car's player too.
And our stock players can play burnt CDs, just not MP3s.
Meaning, you can burn the disc as a music CD, just not a data CD (or what some programs call MP3 CD).
