cd changer on stock radio
I have a 05 rx8 without the bose system and a friend of mine gave me his alpine 6 cd changer. I want to know how do you install it. i see an empty plug in the rear of the stock deck, do i have to get an adapter? if i do where do i go to find one?

I just put a GROM Audio iPod connector in my 08. It has the basic radio with a single CD player. In the back, there was an empty input jack into which the GROM connector plugged. So that extra input jack is for something auxilliary. If your new CD changer's plug will plug in, then it'll probably work. Easy enough to remove the radio and see if the plug will go in there. Lots of great photos of how to remove the unit. I didn't unplug anything, just pulled the radio out from the dash enough plug the GROM unit into the rear plug-in port thingy. (Technical term for the connector.)
