"....around the ignition......" could you be a bit more vague?

The yellow at the key comes from the 15amp fuse marked IGN. KEY in the engine bay. If you can't find it, please stop attempting to install alarms.....

You happen to know where i can get a tach signal. Most cars have one in the diagnostic harness but does this car?

You say you do this for a living... but you do not know the wires you are working with?

I understand if it is a starter kill that you putting in.

You mean you are hooking up a remote start?

For an alarm you do not need the tach signal...

Most remote starts do not require the tach signal. I checked the documentation I have but it does not list the tach wire.

lol im hooking up a remote start. I specialize in caar audio however ive started doing remote starts mostly on hondas and toyotas. This is the second mazda ive worked on. The first was a millenia which the same door lock system. as for the tach wire its stated in directechs that the tach wire is the wire opposite the black and black/white at the ignition coils. DEI remotes require a tach signal for this. As far as i know this is standard. I do not see these wires.
