Hi, i need a favour please, could someone with a 6 disc please measure the height of their trim plate. The piece i mean is above the the numbers and volume ****.

Strange request i know but i live in New Zealand and have purchased a slightly used RX-8 type S from Japan and it never had any cd player of any description just the controler and tuner. Crazy i know, I guess everything is an option their yet and this had none. So anyway i bought a 6 disc player from Mazda in NZ but it did not come with the trim plate.

So i have a blanking plate where the trim plate goes, it goes write up to the fm/am sat and cd buttons. and im gonna see if i can cut that down to size. It might not work but its worth a try because i was quoted 75us to ups it to me which is crazy for a $15 tiny part

Thanks for the dimensions cue2, mine looks exactly the same but is about 20mm high closing of the cd entrance, hopefully i can cut it down.

Yeah frostee, they call the high power 6 speed a type S in Japan it has 250 hp so just a bit more than the others
