@9k, while dying it most of the spare strands came out so it doesn't shed and has softened up nicely so no need for brushing.

@atwood, I'll snag a pic and post it later...it looks purple-ish because of the boot being beige before I started so i'm gonna run it through another (more concentrated) dye cycle...just haven't done it yet.

That dyed black boot looks sick! As in cool lol. And i like how the knob is completely flush to the boot instead of having that lip at the bottom like mine.

Cornholio, yours looks very good with the Shinka interior.

That's the site where I got them, the guy is actually a local that gets the knobs from a guy in Nashville (they weight 545 grams) and the boot is sewn by the guy's grandmother.

Lol his grandmother sews them herself?!:rofl: Thats actually way cool that its home made.

Yeah, I asked how long he would take to have it made and he said "depends on if my grandma is busy"

What do you guys think of a white shift boot w/ black stitching and a black shift knob from sickspeed?

What happened t your shift knob? I got some slight cracks in my Voo Doo after a year and a half and they replaced it no questions asked. They even sent me the new one before I returned the old one.

one coat of primer, one coat of flat black, and the texas heat created the paint scheme for my shift knob. I just havn't been motivated to redo it. I kinda like it how it is... looks better in person:dunno:

My stock knob got loose on the top cap, so I bought an ebay special :cool:

anyone know what the stock knob weighs? I tend to lean towards weighted knobs and the stocker seems pretty heavy.

Anyone know where i can get the oem style shift knob where the gears illuminate. ?

I'm pretty sure they're very hard to find. I saw a thread of someone selling one for nearly $200

Yeah I did see one too, but i think it was a 5 spd shift knob from europe.

Old Greddy Knob, just a favorite of mine, it gets too hot for track days though.
Funny thing is when it's hot the glue on the sticker (on the top) gets soft and the sticker spins around. I also have a cf autoexe one, that is more bling style. Leather Autoexe one on order.

did you put a 12v plug in the passanger side where the cap is?

No I have my AP mount fed through that hole and to a bolt under the dash. That plug hanging there is for the AP.

Cobb shift knob

Id like a new shift knob but I dont like how big the Voodoo knob is, its diameter is like 2" (51mm). Was looking at some new shifters and Im stumped...

Was debating between the Evo-R Titanium column shifter and the ultra $$$ ARC shift knob If I can find one. But I dont know the weight of either so that gives me a problem as well.

Late, I know, but just weighed mine: 318 grams.

If you wants to keep a stock feel, the weight is important, and big differences from stock can cause NVH issues.
