Got it in. Figured I would give each setup a try. More than likely I'll go without the extension. Knob weights in at over a pound.

Fml.

i plasti dipped my knob (see plasti dip thread in exterior mods) and it was an epic fail..gummy texture and ugly.

I bought a yard of black perforated unisuede for my steering wheel and had enough left for other parts

i used an old MS3 knob i bought a while back. it was pretty beat down

first i took it all apart and removed the plasti dip residue
http://s23.postimage.org/djmzrqjh7/005.jpg

i put it back together, filled the gaps with lead i melted from old wheel weights (any additional weight is beneficial i guess)

then, i cut out a pattern on the unisuede and stitched it up (a bit of a hack job but the seem is in front where i dont see it
https://s2.postimage.org/48wbf85ll/006.jpg

matches well with my shiftstyle black suede boot

the bottom of the knob wasn't clean and even
http://s16.postimage.org/8m8dhhqut/009.jpg

so i bought a piece of plumbing pipe from lowes and cut a ring out
http://s12.postimage.org/6ggi4ef65/010.jpg

end result
https://s9.postimage.org/q1d89ucgf/011.jpg

i just have to figure out what to do with the top. any ideas?

WTBRotary! 08-05-2013 01:18 AM

What do you mean other than the 10x1.25mm pitch?

Just got the Cobb knob and love it! The wright feels good as well as the feel on the hand!

SayNoToPistons 09-03-2013 12:51 AM

No, it is Bride seat fabric material. Probably some sort of polyester.

Ray Al 09-03-2013 05:34 AM

Bought this one on EBay...

RotaryTherapy 09-21-2013 05:39 PM

The COBB delrin one is nice as hell. Got one myself. Never changes temp no matter weather or trans heat temps.

I have the RAZO RA56A in aluminum and carbon fiber. it's pretty solid and weighted--400g--I got it from amazon for around $50 like 2 years ago and so far I can't find a complain about it. well except for the fact it gets really hot in the sun since it has an aluminum cap.
for the price, I think they are extremely good and very good looking.
