Bose and Amp not compatible?

Hey guys im wanting to put some subs into my 8 but when i stoped by a local car audio store they told me they would have to replace the wireing and **** cause bose is special or some crap. Ive gone to two places and they have both said different **** but they did both agree that it would cost a **** load....Ive installed my amp and subs before in my jeep wrangler but that was all simple ****. Is this true that bose is just cool like that or are they both just trying to get money? If it is true whats the cheapest way around this?

So the dicks are really just trying to get money? I know i stoped at one place when i wasnt in my 8 and just ask the guy how much a normal install is and he was like 100 and then when i came back in my 8 he wanted to charge me 250. Anyone know a good place somewhere along the nor cal coast above san fran?

you can install this on your own, it will take 5 minutes for taping the signal

and about 45 minutes to two hours to run power to the battery (I ran ground too)

if you have lower gauge wire (not hi amperage amp/sub combo) then you can run it easier/faster and without drilling the firewall.

well our Blose system is a pain but for subs there are many options, tap at the HU pres or at the amp in the back...there is a huge debate over what is best but most are using LOCs some are using more complex solutions because they cannot put up with distortion at very high wattages, AL6 is one of those high end options but not required
