I have a 2005 8 and the driver side speaker seems to be rattling and making an obnoixous buzzing sound so it seems to be blown out. I called my local mazda and they said that the tweeter alone would be 192$ which is beyond ridiculous. I was looking at the measurements and looking for replacement speakers online. I stumbled apon these and thought i'd get a confrimation on the size and that they would fit in my 2005 rx8. I don't think mines the BOSE system if you guys needed that information. Need to be 100% sure if you have Bose. Totally different sizes and the Bose speakers cannot be replaced with aftermarket, while still using the Bose amp. The non-Bose ones can be replaced however. Does the tweeter panel say "Bose" on it? Shine a flashlight on the door panel over the mid-range speaker. Is it black with gold and round in shape? If so, that's the Bose 9" woofer. Or is it shaped like a 5x7/6x8?
