Sorry about that. I'm trying to remember from memory. I meant to say they are the gold screws. It is the one on the passenger side of the radio. Try clicking it and pressing on it multiple times. That is the one that powers everything.

No. I think it actually looks like a spacer. Lets say you were sitting in the driver's seat and just pulled out the unit. Once it is out you would look at the top right corner on the passenger side of the radio. Now if you were looking on that side of the radio, bt the back of it, you would see a gold looking "spacer" that controls the radio, display and climate control. Try pressing or clicking this until the radio comes back. Did this help? If not, I will try to find a pic of the piece.

It is the gold looking spacer on the passenger side. This connects the faceplate to the radio. There is one on the driver side and one on the passenger side. You are concerned with the passenger one, not the driver one. I will try to find some more pics of what I am talking about.

Take some pics of the back and side of the passenger side of the radio. I don't want to have to take mine out to show you the part. Then I can tell you the exact piece you need to play around with to fix the radio.

this had happend to me also...
1st. inspect it and see if there is any cracks or broken pieces where those screws are.
2nd. try making sure they are tight and make sure the pins between the faceplate and the HU are lined up correctly(it would be located by near the top of the two screws, but further hidden)
if you need to open it up and look at it to see what im talking about.
make sure those bolts are all completely secure between the faceplate and the the HU again.
mainly make sure there are no cracks because the plastic there can be fragile

Thanks for the pic slimjimrx8. That is the pic I was trying to show blackoutrx8. This is the screw I was talking about. Play with the connection with the radio plugged in and then once you get it working, screw in the screw.

i havent pulled it apart, ive been sick. i took those out, and fully seperated the two before, tried fixing all the connections. these solutions dont seem to have fixed it. I did notice the two connections between the two inside, and wondered about those... but idk how to make sure those are good. ill try and check tommorow morning before i go away for a week. I hate to say it but I think I need to start thinking about a new radio...

Put the unit completely back together and put it back in the car. Then with the car battery still connected, remove the top gold screw on the passenger side, it connects the piano black faceplate to the radio. Then pull only the part where the screw was removed to slighly seperate the faceplate from the radio. Once you have done this, snap the two pieces back together. Keep trying this until the radio comes back on. Once it does, put the screw back in and put the unit back in the dash. The cause of your problem, as well as mine probably occurred when you removed the radio from the dash. When I did it, I must have pulled it out wrong because one side of the face plate seperated. Snaping the face plate back on didn't fix the problem. I had to seperate the pieces, then put them back together and press on that section from the faceplate side, once I did this the radio and air conditioning came back. Hope this helps.

Sorry I was away, but theres been a breakthrough lol. THE RADIO AND A/C ARE BACK. While I was trying that screw the way you said, I noticed a difference in gap between the faceplate in radio... as shown in pic. the passenger side connection you cant really see when ur just looking at it, wasnt connected. Somehow when I pulled it out the first time, the passenger side mounting screws bent.... also shown. You can see a huge difference. So I took the radio out of car, obviously and redid these. I put the radio back in the car, and got the radio back. The A/C is back. Temp Control is back. Can I see any of it.... NO!!!!! Everything works, including the ipod adapter, but the display isnt working. I forgot to check if the backlights work, but i thought those were off the same circuit as the display. Any thoughts?

let this also be a good thing to check if you forget that pain in the *** screw under the steering wheel. Make sure if your radio cuts out, that you check!

I actually got the display working too. MY BABY IS BACK! And I fixed it without having to spend a monster load of cash on a new radio and kit. Tommorow, well today the subs are going in, and ill get pics up of that.
