hey lokaldisruption, welcome to the club.

I've had my stereo for over 2 years in the RX-8 and it was worth every penny!
Here's a pic to give you a sneak peak

Here's my thread with all the details and more pics:

4080 boxes may be a little pricey, but they really are worth it. Fit and construction is down right flawless.

Never came with one. I've got the roadside kit you see in the pic.

They are nice, I've seen them in person. I have a cousin that ownes an audio shop that builds custom boxes. www.wickedcas.com

The quality in construction is equal to that of the 4080.

I've seen the boxes from WickedCAS too. As you can see, the carpet color is not a perfect match, they do not come with the custom grills, and I also think the "wings" on the sides of the boxes look a little ugly. To top it off, they're only marginally cheaper.

I was very close to getting a CAS box and went for a 4080 instead. I'm kind of beginning to wish i got a CAS box because it's less common.

Sadly, I don't have any good pictures of my setup right now. my EQ is still velcroed to the bottom of the trunk while I tune it, as reaching it once it's mounted is going to be something of a pain. I'd rather not take pictures of it in this state. It's ugly.
