Does anyone know if AuxMod Basic/Advanced is compatible with Firmware 9.50?

Has anyone ordered the advanced recently?....how long did you wait?

What is the cost of AuxMod advanced?

advanced is not avaliable and i emailed them about firmware 9.50 and they said it will work
i havnt tried it myself yet, but would like to soon

I have one and it works with any firmware, my car was buit March 2003

 

Then why does it say you havwe to get a firmware upgrade? Makes no sense.

 

I'm sorry, must have had a brain fart. The AuxMod Basic definitely works fine with any firmware version, since it emulates a tape player.
I mixed it up with the PIE adapter.

It's the audio link that needs the 9.55 firmware or higher.

 

ok well, I ordered the basic today. I will let you know if it works when I get it. I expect it should.

 

good stuff.. you will need a ground look isolator also... crutchfield has one that is 3.5mm.

Man, I instantly SHOT to friggin www.sylfex.com to order my advanced after reading that. Don't get my hopes up. The advanced beta has been just that, an advanced "beta" for over two years now. I don't have much hopes for it anymore. My basic auxmod is spectacular. I <3 it.

Did you mean to say that I lead you to believe that Sylfex was now offering an "AuxMod Advanced", and is now out of beta phase?

my apologies if so...do you think there is risk in that product being buggy? I would have probably ordered it if it were readily available.

 

Yeah, I totally thought from what you wrote that the advanced was available. sigh. It's no big. I've just been entirely too excited for it. I'm sure it would be buggy simply based on the fact there are SOO many mp3 players out there. It's already been done for the iPod, so he's got high goals.
