Hello,

I have an RX8 with a BOSE system tha has the CD player and the MD player on it.

Is there any way to install an audio in to this system? So i can install on it my mp3 player or my mobile phone or even my PDA?

Search for PIE or AuxMod in this forum.

Actually, since you have a MD player, the AuxMod won't work - your only option is the PIE adapter.

 

You mean that with the PIE adapter i can have CD Player, MD player and an AUX-IN the same time? So i can select between them?

will i need to do any firmware update of the head unit? If i do need so do you know how to do that?

 

You need to have at least firmware 9.55 - push and hold the 'TEXT' button, and turn on the radio. The display will show the firmware you have.
If you need it, Mazdaparts will upgrade your firmware.
