Anyone hack the tape/MD inputs?

This was big news in the Miata forums when someone figured out how to wire up different devices through the CD changer input. Does anyone have a pic of the backside of the radio to see if this is even possible? I love this car, but even after one day I sorely miss my 10 disc and MP3 player.

Unhappy Sylfex

It does look a bit archaic and that DB9 serial port looks like it could snap off the board if not careful.

It is easy enough to secure the cables where the auxmod mounts to relieve any strain on the PCM.

My Auxmod basic is going strong.. even after a 2000km trip on roads that brought out new rattles in the car due to their roughness. Best of all I didn't need to get a firmware update to get it going (which is impossible in Australia and necessary for older cars with the PIE)
