So the other day I was swapping out my radio and when I pulled out my antenna coax cable from the headunit, IT BROKE! The part where it actually "clips" into the radio is where it broke off. Its still in the old radio. I'll be getting a new double DIN radio soon, but before I do, is this an easy fix? I don't want to start tearing my dash apart without a little knowledge on the subject. Is there a male/female connection that I can get to where I won't have to take apart my whole interior? Thanks in advance for your help!

 

You can just crimp it back on. The center coax wire should stick straight out and the weaved shield should be "folded back" over the insulation. Then the antenna tip fits over and covers everything. Very similar to regular common coax cable:


There may be a connection somewhere in the car. I often see them under the passenger kick panel. Once you have the headunit out, follow the antenna wire back and see what you can find. If you find a male/female connection, you can buy another cable from just about any place that sells installation accessories. They come in several lengths. 1ft, 3ft, 10ft, 25 ft.
