8" Door Speaker Replacements for Front Bose

As you know the front Bose speakers are 8" and most aftermarket replacements are 6.5"

Found these on ebay. They are from Lanzar which has fairly decent products. I will using thse in the stereo build up on my wife's LY GT within the next month...

I thought the door speakers were 8.5 inches.

Actually the "blows" are 9 inches, and Lanzar used to be a good brand, then went the way of Phoenix Gold and a couple of others wheras they changed ownership and the quality went with it. Unless you're dead set on those, I'd go with a nice 6.5 component and use the extra space to mount the tweeter beind the door etc. or a nicer 8 and maybe keep the Bose tweeters or swap them for something similar. I woudl watch that mounting depth fyi, there isn't a lot of room in those factory locations for deep speakers. (ask me how I know!)
