i just bought my 2004 grand touring rx8 with 58,000 miles and whenever i put in a cd , i hear a really loud scratching noise and when i turn off the car and turn it back on makes sounds again says check cd but the cds are brand new and are now a little scratched and i just put it back in and it will read it. and with the sound issue, i have noticed that my volume would get louder on its own and than fades didnt notice at first is their something wrong with the speakers? or does this tie back to the cd issue in the radio?

 

The OEM 6 disk head unit sucks. Get the metra kit and an aftermarket head unit. I would stop putting disks into that head unit while it is still giving them back.
