2005 AT Shifter Lights
Hi all,
I'm a new proud owner of a 2005 RX=8 with the touring package and so far I'm in love.
I have a question though, when it's night everything I expect to light up does, except that on the shifter, just forward of the center console, the "P"ark, "N"eutral, "D"rive letters don't light up.
Should they? It seems awkward that I have to look in the gauges display to determine (besides memory and feel) if I'm in Neutral, Drive Reverse etc.
Maybe it's just a fuse? Maybe it's not supposed to light up?
Thanks in advance for any direction or advice. All

Original Turbo 'd Auto !!
It wouldn't be a fuse. if it was the ROOM fuse supplies power to this light. And if the Room fuse was dead, other very noticible things wouldn't work.
I took my cover off and looked at how the wiring is layed out. one of the grounds jackets was a little roughed up from the sharp edges. So check the plug connection and wiring. It could be just loose like invasions.

There a connector under the console for those lights...my bet is it is a tad flakey. I get intermittent light from the heater seats lights my self.
A little hit and they come back on. It's not hard to take the console off and adjust the connector.
