Whats the deal with these clear corners?

When I bought my 8 a few months ago, the previous owner had purchased but never installed a set of clear corners. I thought, why not throw them on and see what they look like.

I like the fact that the amber is gone...the clear is definitely nicer, but its just..clear, with no reflective type material. See mine below, and what I was expecting below that.

I have a receipt for them that show they were purchased from RotaryFX (Mazda® Clear Side-Markers). Some of the pictures there look like mine, but some also are reflective.

Yeah I think I would much prefer the clear reflective type. I wasn't aware they came in clear and clear/reflective

The clear is an aftermarket from rotaryfx(only place online that sells them), the clear you were expectine are MAZDA OEM-JDM clears. Only the USD RX-8s have the amber, everyone else around the world has the JDM clear.
