You'll still have to paint it yourself. HUS most likely won't do it.

Hmm, well, I could do that -- hopefully I won't mess it up. :p

Yeah, a couple of spray cans should do it!

Maybe, maybe not. If weight is a motivating factor for you, make sure you get confirmation of the alleged savings before you go out and plunk down any money. There are a couple different ways to make carbon fiber, and they're not always light and strong.

i'm not sure how to ask this but is the clay at the back of the opening on the hood scoop part of the mold. i would like to make it functional and that seems to be in the way of air flow. should it be deeper to allow for space to cut the hood behind where the screen would fit in.

I agree, Although, having a CF hood with the scoop molded in would be ideal for me. and since the mold is already made, from my limited CF laying knowledge, im pretty sure it wouldnt be too much work work as you already have the shape.

H.U.S is there any info on the scoop? Some of us are getting a little antsy! I was hoping to have it by time the Deal's Gap Rotary Rally rolled around in Apr. Any news would be great.

There is no price as of yet. We are still trying to get the scoop designed and produced. It is still in the prototype phase.

Didn't realize asking about the final product was being impatient. Funny how some people can make a decision on someone based on nothing. I am looking to buy this scoop based on someones good idea. Sorry if I offended some people by asking when the product might be available to purchase. Didn't realize a simple question is so hard for some members to take! I will just wait until I see a final product released, then I am sure that the company will be happy to know that someone is willing to buy thier product immediately.
