i actually bought a second hood to do this mod. if there is a shopp out there that would be interested in doing it i would be glad to let them use it. i guess i can check around locally too.

How does it mount to the hood?

 

You would need heavy duty (industrial strength) 3M double sided tape or used "opoxy" from Home Depo for mounting the hood scoop.

The black hood scoop in these images are not mounted to the black RX8 hood. I just lay it on top of the hood to take these photos. As you can see from the images, the hood scoop fit perfectly on top of the OEM RX8 hood.

umm am i missing something, it's a hood scoop, but there are no vents. It's intent was to vent the supercharger, no vent so whats the function or is it just for looks?

 

yeah its just for looks and i want to see the after market version on an 8, EVERYONE has seen the white MS8

 

I would like to see it mounted to the hood with a 3m tape to make sure it fits as flush with the tape. It would also be good to see it on a car and not a picture of the whie mazda prototype.

So far really like what I see.

Have you thought about offering it pre-painted to factory spec?

 

now to decide cf or fiberglass....
