ME ME ME I want a hood like the white one.

Does anyone know what the spoiler is one that white rx8 or if it's for sale?

man, that front end looks so much like a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S its not even funny

 

It looks ok, but hoenstly I think it would look soo much better if the hood vent was further down front instead of being so close to the windshield.

I was looking at this and thought Damn, this is a great way to suck out some heat.... Then i noticed that it curved down at the end . no good

I haven't done any research on this - it just sounds like it should work - but my lil ignorant idea is to cut out the opening to this, attach some sort of squished cone to it, and have it spit out the back of the hood, blowing hot air with it. By put the exhaust of the intake away from the top of the hood (maybe half an inch or so), it might really be able to have a eductor effect in sucking the air from the engine bay with it. There's a lot of math involved in this as far as the cubic inches of the intake and exhaust port, the amount of compression, and whatever else (which i am really not qualified to do) but the end result might be good. Oh, and for some reason i think that the opening from the actual engine bay should probably not extend farther if even to the point of the exhaust part of the spicket, simply because the suction effect will disappear.

I also think this remake is a little bubblier than the original concept, but probably because this one attaches ontop of your hood, and the concept actually cut into the hood. Just a thought.

hookupshop brought their 8 to 7stock this morning and they had the hood scoop installed. it looks freakin hawt

 

the hood is pointless..... unless somehow you have it rigged right under the hood. GL thow

back form the dead, this used to be sooo popular and now it had been dead for 3/4 year.

 

 

The scoop is pure rice, but I think it adds something to the personallity...

 

I do not understand how that hood might possibly work, because wouldn't you want hot air out of your hood? Furthermore, if you allow the cold air in, once that air gets hot, would it not just get stuck inside? I know I am asking a stupid question, but that is because I am a stupid guy, sorry

The hood scoop in our picture is completely cosmetic and serves no functional purpose. It does not even go through the hood.
