Wanna Paint this Piece! Help!

Hi All!

I want to paint this plastic piece because I think it looks terrible the way it is. First I would like to ask if anyone knows where I can find pics of this rear bumper piece painted? I did a search but found nothing. My other question is, can I remove the plastic bits without removing the entire bumper? A DIY for this would be great. I have found the DIY for the bumper removal but didnt mention anything about just removing the plastic piece. That would make my life much easier. Thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure it's part of the bumper.

Get under you car and look, It will become pretty obvious how to take them off.

There are two button clips at the outer edge, once those are removed pull them off in a rearward direction pulling them over the exhaust, dont be afraid, I pulled them off half dozen times to clean them. they snap right back in place.

If you are just talking about the bumber shrouds than yes that will work.

I thought you were refering to the whole black plastic bumper piece.

^^^ Yes if the OP was also referring to the middle section, then yes it is attatched and part of the main bumper.

Hey guys thanks for the response, yea I saw that the exhaust shrouds could be taken off, but I was unsure about the middle piece, Im kinda disappointed to hear that the middle piece is part of the bumper. I was hoping to pull the whole plastic piece out and paint it. Oh well! Thanks for the help.

Just be sure to tape it off well if you decide to paint it.
