VIS V Speed Bodykit Fitment?

I am looking into bodykits and like the look of the vspeed from VIS, has anyone installed this on their car? What modifying did you have to do? I'm going to UTI and want to know if it's just minor modifications or a major time consuming process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll chime in with some general information even though I don't have the kit. As far as replicas go... most of them will either fit decently enough with some body work or will fit like complete ***. The only company that I can list off the top of my head that makes quality replicas: shineautoproject.

Most replicas have horrible fitment around the sidemarkers, in fact, some genuine bumpers have that problem as well. Other fitment areas you might wanna watch for are underneath the headlights, near the hood, and around the fenders. (That's basically everywhere, isn't it?)

If you're planning on buying a replica, reconsider it. The time and money it takes in order for a professional body shop to make it fit properly will probably be just a few hundred dollars off from you buying genuine parts. If you get unlucky and end up with a body kit from the shitty batch, you're even out more money.

*EDIT* Yeah, VIS is a replica company and to be honest, their quality shouldn't be that great. Most of those flimsy, nasty, unpainted, low quality fiberglass body kits you see on poorly "modded" Hondas are usually VIS/Exteme Dimensions/AIT products. If you've ever been fortunate enough to examine one up close; its not a nice sight.

magnok has this kit, and the fitment isn't that great.
Compare his car to Newcastle who has the authentic Vertex Lang.

What sort of modding did you have to do to it? For me any of that would be good experience, I just don't have a large amount of time to cut, or refiberglass a whole kit.

d young: unless you have body shop experience (fitment, fiberglass, cutting, etc) it's best to let your body shop do that type of work.
this isn't simply a bolt it on and forget it mod.

besides, it needs to be painted / clear coated so the shop can just do it all at once.

Thumbs up

That's what I'm going to UTI for, I graduate Jan 21 2011, painting isn't a problem I have access to everything I need including a downdraft booth, they just haven't taught us anything about aftermarket bodykits, besides that they don't fit that good, I'm
trying to get a game plan going so I can be ready to work when free time is available, know exactly what to expect, and have matt and resin ready if necessary.
