VIS Racing Sports (Body Kit Review)
Hey everyone, js letting everyone know if they dont know already vis magnem body kits arent worth anything. probably all their body kits are shity cus their replicias too. i bought a vis body kit and the front bumper was jacked like any replicia dident fit anywhere close. the front bumper over took the headlights and part of the fender. their was no place to mount the side blinkers cus their was nothing to attach it too. the side skirts were okay and usable. the back bumper was usable to but with a tiny gap where the exhaust was. overall it was junk.
thats why im buying mazdaspeed this time.
js letting people know.
feel free to ask questions

I would chime in but... I don't think an MS kit would look on a 09 CWP...
I modified a VIS vertex replica, and it came out good, but that depends on the body shop. The replica I got was fiberglass though and I only got it because another member bought it and it fit pretty legit, so I went ahead and bought it for customizing it and not destroying a authentic vertex which are expensive. However for the sides I did buy Authentic sides. It really depends on your body shop. I have a feeling the OP bought a polyurethane kit because they usually have bigger gaps, sag like grandma *******, and is hard to cut/add compared to fiberglass that's easier to work with. These are pictures from when the project was in progress, all is done now, wish I could get a.recent picture but I don't have one on my phone. Ill try to get a more recent one when I get back in town but here's an idea ofg what happened. Don't get me wrong, always choose Authentic over Replica but if you are planning something custom and know of a replica kit that fits decent, then I say why not. what I modded was a custom rotary shaped duct like Acostas 3 rotor and erased the side markers. These are old pucs but will have to do...

I recently had the car prepped for a respray and the project kind of lagged because the shop was moving a citie over. Its crazy how many little dings and dents it had, **** looked like a dalmation, ill try to get that pic up but I don't gave it on my phone so when I get back into town ill upload it. Every door ding, deep key marks down to the metal, on the sides above the roof from people leaning or something. Anyways. Keep in mind these pictures are of the car 70% finished.. and recently 90% before paint (pics when I get back home).

up to you man, i agree with zumnrx8. I would waste money with the real **** because all i have to do is paint it and pop it on. but if you think replica will turn out good then great, chance em. i was happy with the quality of the real Mazdaspeed bumper. the front lip is a CF and the shop had to cut and adjust it then the paint and attach on.

Oh believe me, I would love to do it the right way and just pop on the real mazdaspeed bumper, the issue is that they dont make that style for the 09-11 rx8, our headlights ate different and we have no side markers, basically the project would turn out to be around 800 total. I'm on my phone right now so i can't link images but type in"rx8 sp" on google and you'll see what I want to replicate. Either that or get the sport max 962 rims and call it a day for 700. What do you think?

I forgot about that RX8, you know what, that actually looks pretty damn good. You can always try contacting them and try buying a bumper?? If that doesn't work, well I'm sure you can find a shop out there that will do the job.

Contacting who? Mazdaspeed? lol..let me repeat that one LOL. So do you think i should blow 800 on this project? i figure this.. 150 for the bumper, 150 for shipping-300. modification to the bumper 350-650. paint-150-800. Do you think my estimates are accurate? Is it worth it to do this or go the cheaper route with just buying rims. Does anyone know if the sideskirts and rear bumper of S1's are compatible with the S2's?

I think your estimates are about right. Yes they are compatible but the rear taillights on S2 might not let the bumper fit like its suppose to... Might have a small gap around the taillights.
