Here's the interal conflict that I'm trying to resolve.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've always wanted a car with "Lambo" doors. I'd see them on TV or the internet and think, "Wow, that's awesome!" Now that I've got a car that's worthy of them, I've been thinking about it. However, the sports car enthusiast scene says they're "Played Out" and "Ricey". Which draws me away from doing it. I don't want to be the point of ridicule of some riced out civic with a fart can. I do care about what people think sometimes, it's one of the reasons why I don't go to Target in pajamas.

Either way, what do you guys think, are they too played out or still okay?

Get what you want. What it boils down to is that its your car, your the one that gonna drive it and look at it every day. If you really want them, get them. Dont let everyone else dictate to you what "cool" or not. If I did that I wouldn't have an rx8 right now.

It's all about the look, when u open ur doors and step out people are gonna say man that car is hot not oh man that's so played out or that's rice! 99% of people don't even know what goes on in the auto world all they will say is can I get a ride

Lol I say DONT do it because if the doors were meant to open like that they would of been made like that. It seems dumb to put them on a car that doesnt come with them, kinda like being a Poser i suppose. Just my opinion...

I think the RX8 is one of the few "inexpensive" sports cars that can pull off Lambo Doors, just because its an edgy looking car that looks a lot more expensive than it is, and almost looks exotic, especially with the right body kit. I say, go for it if it's something you've always wanted, just about any mod you put on your car will get hated on one way or another. It matters what you want!
