I paid around $900 back then, so say I want the carbon fiber now, can I say mine is cracked and paid the different and get the cf one?

You can only get the SAME part as you already have.

 

I've noticed a couple of things some site lise the veilside d1-gt kit and it's pretty pricey, and those some sites will list the "invader" style body kit which from all pictures looks identical for usually half the price... any reason as to why veilside has such a mark-up?

That is like asking why Chinatown has dvds for $5. Veilside has over head to take care of they have to Design the kit then market and then they have to build it with superb quality. Any douchebag can rip it off and sell it for cheaper because they did none of the work.

 

Veilside is not a direct bolt on is it?

ie, MS - take off old, put on and done.

 

some parts are but some parts need some fitting.....the skirts are pretty spot on and the lip is spot on....the bumpers may need some tweaking.....hood is pretty spot on too

 

with any fiberglass part, there is going to be SOME type of work that needs to be done. There is no way that each bumper (wing, skirt, hood, etc.) will come out EXACTLY the same as every other one.

But, ours has a reputation of being very simple to work with.

 

So it is not perfect fitting like MS kit right?

 

why are you shaking your head?.....there are 2 kits i know of in the world that are perfect for the 8 and that is MS and Kenstyle....both are sold at Mazda dealers overseas.....otherwise you will be lucky if you get a simple bolt on kit from any one....period
