V-Led upgrade Brake and Signal Lights

ummm...if they are blinking at all ...I think you said they were blinking too fast, then polarity is correct...so why are you going to check polarity?
You might want to google some electrical circuit basics. It would help alot to get some basics down in troubleshooting this. Here's a pic of my install in the back...showing parallel wiring. The yellow and the black wire coming from the resistor (behind the metal plate) are just spliced into the wires going to the turn signal light. That's putting the resistor in parallel with the LED.
That way the circuit draw current EQUAL to the original incandesant light.

I know they are.... I email vled and they didn't answer the question, just said what their site state on the load resistors 3 and 6 ohm that's all . I don't what to do other then to test the juice going through each circuit.

You said you are using the 3ohm up front and the 6 in back? If you look at V-LEDs site, the 3 ohm are supposed to be used for the front AND back. One on each side of the car, two total. The 6ohm is supposed to be set up the way you are doing it with one resistor per bulb, four total. If you don't mind running wire up to the front of the vehicle from the trunk, you could just use the two 3ohms that you already have, although that sounds like kind of a pain to me. Personally, I'd order another set of the 6 ohm resistors and put those up front.

yeah I was thinking that yesterday. doing a resistor change ----- Example-------
Left Side- 6ohm front and 6ohm rear at the same time. then test the circuit if still hyper blinking.
On another Note: one of the arms in my tail/brake light has stopped working after only two full days of use. I just cant win with these things.

Pico, I'd think you'd do better just getting a couple red 7w ones for the brakes. Not much to go wrong there, easiler to install, just slip it in, and likely at least as bright - if not quite as pretty as the PITA ones (when they work!). Too bad they're outa stock, I wanted some of them too!

And a thought for the LED problem....why not put regular bulbs back in one end, like the front, no resistors. Then sort out the rear. If you can get it working, at least you'll know which end is up as far as hooking them up at one end. Then move on the the front...

i was thinking of buying the 7w bulb when i saw the light was broke last night. I got the thirty day warranty so I'll see how they hold up.
And i did try to do the regular bulbs on Sunday. and it works fine. Right now I'm running the 7w in the rear with a standard bulb in the front and no hyper blinking. I'll to reverse that ( 7w up front and std. in the rear) and see what happens. but now I'm thinking it could just be a resistor change or combo that could fix this pain in the *** problem

...VERLY INTERESTING! I've only got LEDs in the rear so of course no problems. Seeing that the front/rear combo is the problem takes it to another level. Must be someone that's done that....wish for your sake they'd chime in .... frustrating...

Problem fixed
Ok... my thoughts on this matter were correct after thinking long and hard. The key was switching out the 6ohm/50watts resistors to the 3ohm//50watts resistors= problem fixed. simply there was just to much resistance on each circuit to cause the hyper flashing.
Notes to all in the future: two 7w lights on the same circuit need a 3ohm/50watt resistor. Connect wires in series on the circuit
f 7w------7w<50w3ohm resistor t

n n
t 7w------7w<50w3ohm resistor k
I'll have new pictures as soon as possible.

Correct. Only use one 3ohm resistor on each side -left and right- of the car (mounting the resistors in trunk is the easiest and most accessible spot)
If you mount in this manor you will not need to put another resistor in the front turn signal area of the car

Pictures that I promised
here are a few pictures that were taken at about the same time of day that the first set was. You can see the difference very noticeable. The pictures don't to justice but, you guys get the idea. These are the new new v-star Bulbs from V-Led.
Oh and I know i got one LED out so no need to let me know a second time.

I'll try to get a video in the future. Good idea, I don't see enough good LED videos on the web. On another note, who makes a good LED 3rd brake light? That's going to be something I'm going to want to do very soon

That would be the look I'm going for. I've seen a light that looks like that on ebay but didn't know if the light was dependable and if the construction was one of good quality. Which brand did you go with?

I got mine through the group buy here, before it fell through. I believe the different sellers on eBay are all selling the same thing. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. The chrome bezel is a little cheap and is not molded specifically for the 8. It's just a found piece that was a pretty good fit. The plastic housing is a nice mold and fits well but the rubber gromet is too tall and stiff so you have to pull the gromet off the OEM housing. The LEDs are nice and bright though and seem to be holding up.
FYI: In the first pic above I actually installed the LEDs into the OEM housing, which is also an option, since then I've reinstalled them in the aftermarket housing with the OEM gromet.
