Strakes & Clear Corners

Not sure if I should post this here or in the vendor forum.

I've been looking through rotaryfx.com for strakes and clear corners. Are the items from rotaryfx.com comparable in quality to those listed from Mazda.

Strakes: http://www.rotaryfx.com/product_p/ext1105.htm versus http://www.rotaryfx.com/product_p/ext1082.htm

Clear Corners: http://www.rotaryfx.com/product_p/lig1050.htm (winning blue backed clear corners) versus http://www.rotaryfx.com/product_p/lig1044.htm

The ones with the Mazda registered title are more expensive(in the case of the strakes quite a bit more). Am I paying for better quality, or am I paying for the Mazda brand name?

On a similar note, do the rotaryfx.com clear corners with the painted backings still have some sealant problems? (https://www.rx8club.com/rotaryfx-com-formerly-rx8strakes-com-130/new-clear-side-markers-colored-backings-183549/ pg 3)

And lastly, are the strakes listed on rotaryfx.com(either ones) the ones that require the paper template?

Thanks in advance for any information, and sorry again if this is the wrong forum.

I bought my strakes and corners from rfx when I first purchased my 8. Haven't had any issues with product (however, fitment of the stakes is a bit off. I'll either remove those, or replace them with a different brand).

I bought the clear corners with black backing, and they both leak water into the housing when it rains. I haven't resealed the seams yet with clear silicone, but I am confident that will fix the problem.

same happened to my friend, same water issue and same corners.

except... his has uber condensation... and it never goes away. ever.

personally i wouldnt pay over 50 for clear corners, and the mazda ones im talking about.

wait until you see someone selling theirs in the for sale section. I got my set for $30 or 35 i forget and they came with stealth bulbs(one blew out the minute after i installed, but still a good price)

Thanks for the responses. I think I will wait and see if some one sells theirs on the forum.
