IMO I doubt there would be enough interest based on the two prices listed in this thread. How much of a discount do you think you will get? 10%? 20%? 25%?

Well last time someone contacted them about it 5 kits would get a 20% discount... Still if it winds up being stupidly high of a price to ship then it's not worth it to me just like anyone else. I'll see where else I can find what I want, haven't really been looking, I thought that's what you guys were for lol
well its 1000 divided by 5 people, so the bumper would come out to $520. thats close to used authentic mazdaspeed range. I have an aversion to the S2 front bumper, never thought anyone liked it.

FWIW I love the look of the S2. If I could update my car for $2k+paint then I would have already done it. Front to back it would be somewhere around $5k-$7k and that is too much.

If the 5 people ordering made a midpoint between all of their locations and sent the package to that location and then pick it up in person, it would only be 520 per person... :p
I like everything but the front bumper... headlights, taillights,skirts,rear,interior are all so nice. I miss everything but the front from my 09. Though i basically have a slightly heavier R3 with red interior now, kind of an upgrade hah.

Thanks for your interest in Carboninmotion products. Yes we do ship out to the US. Due to the size of the kits, and shipment costs are calculated using volumetric weight, the shipment cost can be as expensive as the kit itself.
Just to give you a ball park figure, a shipment dimension of 200cm x 100cm x 60cm can cost up to RM 3,000 (approx USD 1,000) door to door from Msia to USA. For that size, we can fit in at least 2 sets of bodykits comprising of 2x Front Bumpers, 2 x Side Skirts and 2 x Rear skirts. Which means that if you can find a buddy to buy another kit as well, the shipment cost can be split by half.
Let me know what you're after and I can get a firmer quotation out to you.

Generally speaking, if you can confirm up to 3 full bodykit sets (Front Bumper, Side Skirt, rear Diffuser or Wing), I'd be able to give you a 15% discount on the price of the kits. For instance, the Full RE Kit costs RM 3,000 per set. You'll be able to get them for RM 2,550 a set. But you'll need to make the 3 set minimum order. Do let me know if this is a good enough GB offer for you.
If you hit 5 kits, then I'd be able to give you 20%, but if you're able to hit 10 kits, I'd be willing to give you 30% discount.

^+1 You will have to contact the company. Your best bet is to gain interest in that S2 bumper, as it is the only thing that is really exclusive, the rest are reps of other brands. If you consider that modifying an S2 bumper onto an S1 is a challenge $$$, then this may be worth the money if you want that look. Something to think about.
how do you mod an s2 to fit an s1? dont sound simple to me..
I have no Idea, all I know is this bumper is a complete bolt on for the S1, that is all. I have heard that having to retrofit the S2 bumper to an S1, it was a challenge. To me it seems easier to just buy this bumper if you want that look, rather than probably spending more trying to fit up a real one.

I bought 3 sets of bodykits from carboninmotion in the past. So far so good. But you should not expect anything arrive your home like those expensive Japan product. You should have a good painter and installed.

I will get a quote for you. But generally they are around USD$350 for sea freight. 3-4 weeks ETA.
If you can get a friend or two to get it with you, 3 bumpers are around $350 too.

A couple years ago CIM said they would not ship to the US. Bet it is going to cost a lot to ship a bumper though so be sure to know the price before buying anything.
I've been speaking with Carbon in Motion about their S2 replica for the S1. They quoted me $455 for sea freight and said that they could fit a second bumper in the box and it wouldn't change the rate as it's based on volume. I've shipped from Japan via sea freight in the past and it's typically taken 1-2 months.
Are people still interested in this option? I finally bought another 8 and have been contemplating making the S2-S1 swap and possibly the R3 version.
I have over 20 years building composite parts and have built some one-offs, like a full carbon body, and a few rounds with veilside.
If theres enough intrest ill build a multi part mold otherwise Im going to splash mold and make a single bumper. If your interested DM me to get a head count.
