RX-8 PZ mirror

You might remember that Mazda came out with RX-8 PZ for Euro market, and the mirror was not available for order in US.

Well, I came across a UK dealer that carry it, never order from them, so I don't know, but just in case any one is looking for it. The mirror is very pricey...

awesome find....

the price isnt actually that bad... (around $436) compared to the Mazdaspeed Mirror its about the same price...

I sent an email to the company and asked if it is painted already and also what the shipping would be to the US.

If it works out right, I will be buying these

I will let you guys know.

I have them on my car, they were an optional for every rx8.
Pretty cool looking but the quality is not as nice as the one of the stock mirrors or the mazdaspeed ones. The rear view is also reduced but they have cool blue mirrors

ok... well I got a response from my email

Good morning,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The RX-8 sports door mirrors do not come painted from Mazda. Due to the number of different colours available we have to spray them to match the vehicle.

The price of the sport door mirrors will be £279.08 plus £59.99 delivery via UPS worldwide.

Please click the following link directly to the correct product page http://www.hendymazdaeshop.co.uk/pro...rror_FE38V3600

If there is anything else I can help with please feel free to drop me a line directly.

Many thanks

Nick Godding

so that means the mirrors are $436 with a $94 shipping charge... totaling in a $530 set of unpainted mirrors....

I do like these but im going to research the mazdaspeed mirrors alittle more before I make this purchase

edit: looked into the mazdaspeed mirrors... these mirrors are cheaper in the end... japanparts wants $652 unpainted and unshipped... vividracing wants $580 unpainted and unshipped for theirs... hmm I may just order these

Before buying them I'd make sure they work for LHD cars.

I was looking at these about a year or so ago. Nice find and if they are OEM they will hold up good as I tried to swap in an after market pair and they went to **** fast! So I put back the stock ones. Let me know what you come out with.

...... still waiting... lol... JKJK

I really want to buy them but the only problem that I will encounter is the fact that the "objects in mirror are closer then they appear" mirror will be on the wrong side....

I don't think that they even have that text... never noticed it anyway!
The only bad thing about those mirrors is that they're pretty small and the view angle is reduced.
Those are not PZ exclusive, they were an optional here as well

hmm... well in the US the only mirror avail was the one that came with the car... or if one wanted to spend $600 on the MS mirror... but since these are rare in the US I want them... lol

Luckily my 8 is not my daily driver... so the size isn't really an issue... the MS mirrors are smaller than the stock also.

What's the difference between MS and PZ mirrors? I saw both in live and I didn't spot any differences...

Hey man, are you in a LHD country? I got a pair of UKDM PZ mirror assemblies for my RX8 but I need to upgrade those mirrors for USDM use. Do you know the parts number for those mirrors?

I have a set on my Canadian car and was looking for glass a few years ago.

I reached out to www.hagususa.com but they didn't even bother there backsides to respond so I have learned to live with it.

FYI Even if you did find glass the mounting brackets are angled for a RHD car so looking out the passenger side is still a bit of a problem for us LHD.

Good luck on your quest and if you find someone then let me know.lol

Thanks, man! Hopefully, we can find some pairs.
BTW, I haven`t started replacing the mirror yet. Based on your experience, do those mirrors just plug and play like normal LHD mirrors?
