Thumbs up Saturday Caliper Project

Well, after ordering G2 Caliper paint from tirerack.com over the winter, I finally found some time and much anticipated warmer weather to paint my calipers. My buddy and I started around 230 in the afternoon and finished up around 530. The paint turned out really well. Overall, I am pleased with the results, but now wish that I could have added a few more coats of paint, but would have been difficult because the paint sets quickly in the can.

Enjoy the pics....

How long did that take you?

Took a little over 3 hours from start to cleanup.

nice but you have your legs under the rotor and all you have is a floor jack holding the front up... that is dangerous. The word guillotine comes to mind if the jack ever lets go.

Love,

Officer Safety

Not my legs...My buddies...

Yeah we used jack stands on the rear, but not on the front for some reason...

I actually said something to him after I took the pics, because I noticed the same thing as well. He only had them under the car for a few minutes...(and to think he is normally the paranoid one...:p )

Thanks Officer Safety for only giving me a warning, I can't afford another ticket...:D

What type of paint did you use?
I used G2 Caliper Paint which can be found HERE It comes with everything you need...

and how deep is your tint
I had the shop put on 20%.

Funny story though...I was actually pulled over already for having too dark of tint and no front license plate (illegal here in good 'ol Ohio), and when the cop measured my tint, it read 9.8%!!! He rounded up to 10 for me!!! :p In the end, he gave me a warning, and told me that he suggested that it be removed because it would draw too much attention to my car....I almost said "Well, that's the point!"

I think he just wanted to check out my car ...haha
