Yeah that is pretty sick looking, I would have to say i could see purchasing one of those. would also like to see an installed picture too as well know more about mounting. hopefully no hood pins required.

i like this hood but it is still a bit busy for my taste. Vividracing talks of a mazdaspeed style hood that could fit the bill but a more traditional design i think will do the trick better. Ultimatly my choice would be to remove the rotor design at the top of the hood and scoot up the vent to the point of where the rotor design once was, simple, functional and yet different.

moving the vent that far back reduces the function as the air pressure is building as you move towards the windscreen.

I love this hood. It's gotten my attention more than the others on the forum. I may have found my hood, depending on how it looks on the car. Need pics desperately!

My problem is.... if I were to get it, I would have it painted to match the car. At that point, what is the sense other than having the vent? I can't see it being much af a weight savings since the stock hood is aluminum and already extremely light.

Carbon fiber panels as the such will have accelerated deterioration due to being exposed to UV rays. If you protect the outer surface from the UV rays you will have greater longevity of the material. The resin will want to go back to it's original state which is a powder.

They are selling for $689 I believe. Alittle TOO high in my opinion.

would evo-r be interested in making a one off hood designed like what i was showing above or building one for mass production? i am sure the mold can be copied to the design requested.
