It would only be illegal on the front in that color, not on the back so long as it is amber or red there. On the front it would have to be amber or white.

Looks good. I would suggest you shape the upper corners so it looks like it's part of the rotary accent, rather than stuck in the middle of it. Just a thought.

i tried molding it, but its really hard, and when i did get it to shape, the light wasnt as bright because the curve was too sharp, it just went through, when its lit up at night u cant even tell, u just see a bright red glow, pluss u dont even see the curve when its in ther. u do see it when u bend down and look at it closely.

The one you can buy from the dealer is different. The whole middle glows. With this one its just like a outline which looks better.Nice work.

I did this with Cold Cathode tubing...it's not illegal...i uninstalled it though to get the car totally complete for Nopi Nationals but I'm not going to make it in time due to time restraints...but...yours look great...sure beats paying the high price of the factory on...and I like this way better...

I also used cold cathode for the interior footwell lamps...i am making a small slit in the door fabrication to accomodate a cold cathode tube in there as well...i'll share pics down the road...

Is this always-on, or does it work in tandem with the brake lights? I wish you could get the corners of the triangle filled in, however I would still buy it, looks cool. let me know if you decide to sell them.

Not taking xxdevilzeroxx's credits,...by the way is a great idea I would like to share my version of the rear rotor light. I did that a while ago
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...rear+fog+light
Since then I upgraded with a 9 led instead of a single one. Here are the pictures
