SO I started working on my project and for anyone new looking for some pictures here goes.

For starters, there are only 5 holes, yes count them, FIVE holes in your trunk. 3 from the word MAZDA and 2 from the "M". The three from the MAZDA are considerably bigger than the the "M" logo.

To remove the MAZDA badge all it took me was some sunlight and about a foot of dental floss (advantages of having a black car during the summer) . I lugged my Girlfriend and her hair dryer, which took some convincing she thought I was up to something kinky, out to my car to find it took me a couple seconds to remove the MAZDA logo from my trunk. It came off no scratches and I even have a badge for memorabilia which I think the girlfriend is taking as payment.

I'd like some advice, tomorrow I'll be installing the word "SHADOW" where the MAZDA badge was (My car's name) and I'll be replacing the "M" with the rotary Badge. That isn't tacky is it? Oh and my tags say "SHDW RTR" If it is I'll just do RENESIS because it's been done and I have an example. I'd like a second opinion though first.

Now for what you really care about!

Lookz real good! I'm planning on removing the mazda and rx8 emblems. Just to make sure, does the rx8 and mazda leave holes or just the mazda? and did the renesis just cover the holes or did it have locators too?

Cool Shadow rotor

Ok you seriously ruined your rx8. I've got a phantom blue 07 rx8 and the only changes i made were putting a new exhaust on, the sidelights, and a chrome piece to fit over the rotor symbol on the grill.

I like the rotary decal but it's too big IMO. I was thinking about putting on a "Rotary Engine" badge from a 1st gen rx7, but I kinda still like the debadge look..

Cool. Post some pics. Did you go online to find someone to make the wording for you? I already removed "RX-8" and rubber coated the "Mazda" and emblem. I'm thinking of switching out the "Mazda".
