I say no spoiler, it looks too much like the Mitsu Eclipse spoiler. Also, all the aftermarket wings are too big and ugly IMO.

yo tampoco pero e visto alerones de la misma caracteristica pero con una denominacion seco o mojado y la unica diferencia era el precio (el doble) deve ser la calidad de la fibra pero que cualidades aventajan uno de otro?

Yeah I've never heard of wet or dry carbon fiber wings either... can you post a link to the site where you saw it?

It has to do with how the carbon weave is layed out and the techniques used for curing. Unfortunately, that about exhausts my knowledge of laying out composites..

I'm in the process of picking my appearance set-up. I think the rear spoiler looks good on and off.

However, I'm not getting one. The rear of the 8 looks awesome as it is. And I've seen an abundance of spoilers on cars these days. I'm just waiting for the day to see a whale-tale on a VW bug.

I can't believe you haven't seen one - overdone porsche look bugs were once all the rage.

Dry is lighter. That's all you need to know.

Yes Dry is lighter, made more for racing cars

Wet is about the same weight as FRP/Fiberglass more for street applications

Dry isnt very pretty, it lacks that shinny look to it.

Dry is more expensive then wet.

Thumbs down Spoilers or No spoilers?

Hi all.

Just wanted to find out how many of you enjoy seeing our wonderful 8 with a spoiler?

I personaly think the 8 looks 100 times better without. It's just got a sleek design and any spoiler attached just interrupts it's gorgeous lines of beauty.

Ahh, but there are various different spoilers:

1. North American Moon spoiler
2. European "fuel saving" lip spoiler
3. X - Men "after market" spoiler

I'm getting option 2 'cause Mazda says so.

I don't have a spoiler, yet. I think when the warranty is up and I start to add performance parts, a spoiler will come then (probably aftermarket). For now, I am happy without. Very clean.

I would add the standard spoiler (and front splash guards) if getting the appearance package, but not if not.

I my mind, you can go two ways - nothing or everything - & I like the appearance of both ways - classic .vs. hot-stuff. Mine at the present is very classic (except for the GT things). Hot-stuff requires more $. I'm thinking a lot about it. Haven't made up my mind, so I haven't done anything (yet). As long as the paint hasn't noticably faded, I can wait & keep thinking about it. 3rd party stuff is still just barely starting to get to market too...

Ditto. I would add the euro spoiler if it can be had for a decent price.

I don't like the spoiler by itself, but when you add the appearence package AND the spoiler it looks SWEET! That's why I ordered the whole package for my car!
