Rear Spoiler/Wing Info
Thanks for the links! i'll let you know if i find one... also, i ordered my kit from rotary extreme today from Chuck Huang.... The guy is great!! Answered all of my questions and was very patient... i also got these rims on order to replace my stock ones with the same tires.... what do you all think?!
i didn't get the wing, that's why i'm looking for one similar to the r magic wing..... i got just got the front, side skirts and rear.
i think the replica wing was 850 but it was real carbon fiber.

I was just wondering if this is actually the "factory" spoiler from Mazda. I have fallen in love with the way the spoiler looks on the 8. I was also wondering if I should wait for the Mazdaspeed version and when this is going to come out. Do you think I am safe ordering this off Ebay as far as quality and matching the paint? How hard is this to put on?
Well, the description of the items says "factory style", style being the operative word there. It also says it's manufactured by Texas DAR. So, no, this would not be the spoiler from Mazda.
That said, from the pic, it looks just like my spoiler from Mazda; I doubt anyone would notice the difference. For your other concerns, I'd e-mail the seller: http://contact.ebay.com/ebaymotors/a...105459&frm=284

I'm thinking about getting the XMEN spoiler (wing). Right now I have the factory spoiler. If I replace it with the XMEN, would my current spoiler be sellable? Or would it be ruined in the removal process. If it just comes right off I would sell mine as it is flawless. But it wouldn't happen until after winter.
Has anyone installed the spoiler?
I was going to buy the spoiler from Trussville Mazda - Birmingham, Alabama. I purchased my MP3 from them and they are great and cheaper than dealer with no sales tax.
Has anyone installed spoiler?
I expect to have to drill holes; do you get a template?
Do you get gaskets?
It may be hard for me to drill a hole in my baby. But I realy like the looks of the spoiler.

You DO you need to drill holes. Make sure you use a REALLY sharp drill bit, or you CAN screw up your paint. The Mazda spoiler kit comes with a template showing exactly where to drill the holes, and with gaskets for the mounting of the spoiler.
If you're at all unsure, get your Mazda dealer to do it. It takes about a 1/2 hour of labor, which in my neck of the woods, runs around $45. Money well spent, as if they screw anything up, they are liable for fixing it.

Thanks for the helpful information.
My dealer says $385 +$197 to install and CA Tax.
If I buy it from Trussvillemazda.com it is $300 +$22 to ship.
You are correct, I would rather have the dealer do it. I will call around and see what other Mazda dealer will charge.
Thank you again,
Paul
