Possibility of a Mod Kit
Hey I'm looking at installing a mazdaspeed body kit on my 8, but I'm worried about the new pieces matching the paint color of the rest of the car. Would I have to get my whole car repainted in order to have all the paint match? By the way, the car is a 2008, so it's relatively new.
You'll be fine. I was worried about the same thing b/c I realized I wasn't taking care of my paint as well as the other members here. The clearcoat should hold up for a long time on our cars. No worries there.
if you buy authentic you can get a perfect paint match.
What a lot of shops do is paint blending. Where they do their best to paint match the bumper and then blend the rest of the parts around it: fenders, hood, etc. Think like a gradient on photoshop or something.
