Another shop

Another shot. I just don't like the rear spoiler.

Front Rotor

Yeah, I haven't driven this car since I washed it on Saturday last week.
I'll drive today to Nissan dealership (dropping off my other car: Sentra).

Very nice! I've got the silver myself and would love to add exactly this set of options.
I agree with you on the spoiler.

Nice

I am getting the silver one this month......I want to tint the windows but my husband says NO. Can't fight him since I am a stay at home Mom getting a new $30,000 car!!! Hey....I will show him the pics....maybe he will change his mind. He feels it does not need spoiler either. I am 38, he's 52...hmmm, is this an age thing? I guess I can say "he's my old man!" Hee hee.

Is that a UGA flag on your neighboors house?

Very nice shots. With good lighting, the car just shines. Nice angles too. IMO, the RX8 looks best from any side as long as it's taken from an angle slightly above the roof of the car.

Thank you for your kind comments

Yes, it's a UGA flag. There's a rivary going on among my neighboors: UGA vs USC.

I had it tinted a week ago. Kept it legal (25% all around) since I'm moving to Nashville TN in a month or two. It looks really good.

I'm a firm believer of Appearance Package. I think it makes RX-8 look so much nicer. Plain RX-8 just looks, well, too plain.

I use a bra on this car. Bra for Aero package (Appearance pkg in US) does NOT work well. I had to modify the bra in few places to make it fit "right" so it'll protect the bumper correctly.

Again, thanks for your comments!

Here's another shot.

Let's see a picture with the bra on. (I never thought that I would say that) I think the car looks great without the spoiler. The AP just makes all the difference. By the way, the last shot you posted is just awesome!

OK, here's a pic w/ bra

Bra looks OK. I just hate to see my front end get chipped away.

what is the point of "protecting" the front end from a few dings and dents if the method of protection renders the front end butt-freakin-ugly?

Sucks when that happens, usually after a rainstorm. Calls for zinc plating usually found on aftermarket rotors...still looking...

IMHO the bra looks a lot better than i thought it would. Although the car looks much better without the bra I can understand why you would want to keep it on there. Regardless, it is a bitchin ride.

Any car with Bra looks awful

I think it's a given, that any vehicle with bra on looks awful. I think all bras are afterthoughts of accessory planners. I can't imagine car designers saying "oh, we'll make a car that looks good with and without the bra!!".

I agree 100% that car looks better WITHOUT the bra. I don't think there's a soul on this planet doesn't agree.
The thing is, for us "neat - freaks", little rock chips and bug crap cannot be ignored. I like my "stuff" to be in top shape. I want to keep it looking new as long as possible. Just because automobile is a commodity, doesn't mean I should drive it to the ground.

My last car, 2001 RAV4 (I know, I know...) looked like a new car inside and out. Only thing it wasn't in "like-new" condition was the odometer w/ 36000 miles on it.

Also, I DID NOT BUY THIS CAR FOR THE LOOK! I don't care less what this car looked, as long as it performed the way it does.
I can't see what it looks like when I'm enjoying the sound of new Rotary Engine humming at 9000rpm. I can't see how bra is destroying the front end beauty when I'm drifting the car with DSC turned off.

Let's thank engineers at Mazda for bringing another rotary-powered vehicle, and enjoy their creation.

I hope that the Rx-8 can somehow fill the void left by your RAV4! J/K

Make sure you take that bra off when you clean the car. Sand and dirt gets built up in it can scratch your hood. Also, if your car sits out in the sun for too long over the years, it can cause uneven fading.
